Description

Last time we began to look at the third major section of the book of Revelation. Which are the things that are going to happen in eternity and beyond after the Second Coming of Christ, after the Battle of Armageddon, and after the Tribulation. What comes next is the Kingdom Age. The Kingdom Age in some respects takes place in two stages:

1. Millennial Kingdom There is the temporal Kingdom Age. What we call the Millennial Kingdom which will last one thousand years. In Revelation 20, we are looking at the timeline of this Millennial Kingdom. We saw in Revelation 20:1-3 the beginning. It starts off by putting Satan into a place where he can no longer deceive the nations. The reason why he is there, and he is bound this way is because of his deception of the nations. He is a deceiver. That is his greatest tool. That is what he is constantly doing. The Kingdom Age would not go forth very well at all if Satan were still allowed to deceive the nations. So, he is bound and unable to do that for a thousand years.

2. Eternal Kingdom Then there will be the eternal Kingdom. That will be in Revelation 21-22.

Moving forward, we are looking at some of the activities going on in the Millennial Kingdom. Honestly, Revelation 20:4 and a little bit of 20:5-6 give us all that the book of Revelation is going to tell us about the Kingdom Age itself. We will look at other places later for more information.

Look at Revelation 20:4, “Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” There is a lot packed into that one little verse.
