I recently went on a walk with my dog and looked up and saw the Big Dipper for the first time in I don't know how long. It reminded me of laying in the grass as a kid and looking up at the constellations. Then I walked under a streetlight and, of course, I could no longer see the stars. This got me thinking. What a metaphor for life. So often, we get distracted by the "streetlights" of the world, the noise, and lose track of our North Star. We lose track of our aim, our arrow, our purpose. In today's episode, I talk about getting back to that North Star and finding it again in all the crazy, busy, distracting noise of the world. Our purpose may shift throughout life but if something lines up with our values, intuition and aim, we are still pointing at our own personal North Star. Life is the greatest teacher and if we don't listen, it will keep bringing the lesson until we do. Go outside today and remember a simpler time. Remind yourself that in all that has changed, the North Star hasn't. It is still there today just like it was and it will be there tomorrow. Reset your arrow and find your North Star again.
