It is estimate that at least 5,000 African-American soldiers served in the Revolutionary War. Black soldiers froze, starved, and died along with their white colleagues during the winter of 1777-78. The ones who made it home was treated like they did before they left while the white men was thanked and celebrated for a good job done. something was wrong with that then. I know thinks still have not changed.
