Danielle starts off this episode by talking about three well-known pirates! Calico Jack, Anne Bonny, and Mary Read. They were active during the Golden Age of Piracy which took place from 1650 to 1730. Hear about the various misadventures that Jack, Anne, and Mary found themselves embroiled in.
Later, Sandra talks about the Murder of Joyce Mclain. On Friday, August 8th 1980 sixteen year old Joyce Mclain went for a run in her hometown of East Millinocket, Maine. Little did her family know it would be the last time anyone would see her alive. Two days later her body was found beaten to death in the woods behind Schenck High School. It took almost forty years, but on February 22nd, 2018 her murderer was finally put behind bars. Listen as Sandra tells the story of not only the murder, but how justice was brought to Joyce Mclain's family.
