In this episode we talk about the purpose of the Global Art Café. I made the announcement that I will be removing the fee-based membership to the Café moving forward and start to offer the VIP experience in a different way in the future. The Global Art Café programs are free and open to the public. Donations are always welcome to support the work that I am doing!
We also discussed that today the Maple Grove Art Center in Maple Grove, MN officially opened for the first time since the lock down began and discussed the upcoming events including an Advocate show happening in June. Now is the time to get signed up as an advocate and submit your art for that first show! There are many opportunities to participate as an artist, whether it's as a volunteer or paid. Deadline to enter the advocates show is June 1. Please visit their website to download your application!
The Maple Grove Art Center also has a Business of Art program where one of our guests and Global Art Café members, Sybil Swanson has participated in and currently sells her works. We talked about where you can find Sybil's paintings around town. Right now they are hanging and available for viewing and purchase at 2 locations: West Side Perk in West Bloomington, MN and at the Dunn Brothers on Main Street in Maple Grove. The show at West Perk was set up through this group, the VIP Biz Mastermind as part of my mission to connect members and help one another grow both as women and as artists, or in business as it fits their lives.
Come visit us next at the upcoming VIP EVENT: ART TOGETHER, MAY 11, 2021 and visit with artist Sherstin Schwartz, Life of A Paintbrush - she does amazing polymer clay floral gardens, alien gardens and "portals" - she will be in the Global Art Café to give us a studio tour LIVE ON ZOOM.
