Minister Fu shares how pragmatism led to her degrees, and how moving into politics, after being the CEO of PSA when Singapore’s port was the largest in the world, was a call to duty. They talk about climate change, rising sea-levels, the impact on food production, and how new waves of diseases will emerge as a result of our actions. They cover the Singapore Green Plan, the 3 Rs, carbon emissions, and the Eco Stewardship Programme for children, before concluding with a thoughtful conversation on what success means to Minister Fu. Paige’s favourite quote from Minister Fu: “If you’re always afraid of making mistakes, and you’re not making mistakes, it means you’re keeping it too safe.
