The degree of godliness is fast fading out and men have become lovers of their own opinions and belief. The Word remains the standard by which every heart is judged. Nothing makes you clean like the cleansing power of the Word, to change you from wickedness to a saint. Your character will fish you out, for there is nothing in you that is hidden to Jesus. God knows everything in you, from your cells to your country. If God is the only judge who can read the hearts of the good and the evil, then don't choose friends, spouse, business partners etc without His help. The friends you don't know well, you cannot know. So, pretending to know them in the public space is a disaster waiting to happen. You cannot sow evil and reap goodness.
