Let's take a six-minute look at The Model Prayer. This, then, is how you should pray. This does not mean to pray only these words, but to pray in this way, remembering the general topics of worship, request for both physical and spiritual needs, confession, and repentance of sins.

Note: a request that is repeated does not make it a "babbling on," for both Jesus and Paul (26:36-46; 2 Cor. 12:7,8) repeated their petitions. A request becomes "babbling" if it is only words without a sincere heart desire to seek and do God's Will. [The Wiersbe Study Bible]
