Description

Today's Scripture Reading comes from The Book of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5 and verse 17 which says:

Pray without ceasing:

Our prayer is that God's Blessings will rest upon everyone who is listening to this program, and we want you to know that we will continue to intercede on your behalf, seeking his protection and provision for your life. In Jesus’ name: AMEN.

As Christians, prayer is the weapon of choice because it brings us in the presence of God that we may fellowship with him and at the same time, intercede for others.

As Christians, we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, so we can do as it says in Hebrews 4:16:

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

There are many reasons why we must always pray; but the one that tops the list

is the one given for our protection against temptation.

If Adam and Eve had prayed in the Garden of Eden they might not have entered into temptation; but no one taught them to pray. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed concerning the crucifixion that he would endure, but he was particularly concerned about the safety of his disciples
