Matt Gaetz has officially withdrew from consideration for Trump's Attorney General against a backdrop of liberal bomb-throwers chomping at the bit to discredit him, using questionable reports of past sexual misconduct. Matt Gaetz would have made a great AG and he shouldn't have backed down. Instead, he and Senate Republicans should have gone toe to toe with the left and fought all the way through the confirmation process.
Then, Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump's pick for Defense Secretary, has also come under attack as of late for alleged sexual misconduct back in 2017, even though police filings do not point to any evidence whatsoever. This is shaping up to be yet another baseless hit job by the radical left, cooked up to try to tear apart Trump's cabinet selections and ultimately derail his presidency.
Later, the ICC (International Criminal Court) has issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel's former defense minister Yoav Gallant, despite having no real authority to do so. The ICC has become a rogue, politicized organization that is highly antisemitic, claiming to stand up against war crimes yet failing repeatedly to condemn real murderous leaders like Bashar Assad or the leaders of Iran.
Finally, Jose Ibarra, the illegal alien who savagely killed 22-year-old Laken Riley earlier this year, has been found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison. While the death penalty would have been preferable, justice has been served. The case of Laken Riley serves as a reminder of just how badly the Biden-Harris administration messed up our immigration system, and how crucial it is that the incoming Trump administration get it under control.
