In this episode, the Huddle Guys talk with Blake Oliver, CPA, creator of Earmark CPE which creates opportunities to earn CPE credits by listening to podcasts. Blake is a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in music. After college, Blake became a bookkeeper, which sparked his interest in accounting. When he decided to pivot and become a CPA, Blake learned first-hand the difficulties that many face to attain the 150 college credits needed to become a CPA, which includes having to take non-accounting related classes. Listen as Blake challenges the 150 hours norm, and shares how his start up provides another avenue for licensed CPAs to earn CPE credits.
