From Sofia Goggia to Kamilia Valieva and Erin Jackson: these are the three stories from Beijing 2022 that I liked the most.
Only 23 days passed since the terrible injury in Cortina. But defending champion Sofia Goggia fought against her fear and pain to take part to the SUper G. She won the silver medal, but her second place is worth A GOLD.
Erin Jackson, instead, has become the first black woman to win an Olympics gold medal in speed-skating. She wrote an important page for her sport.
On the contrary, Valieva's story brought the shadow of doping on ice-skating competition together with an alarming scenario on baby athletes.
If you want to know more about these stories, do not miss the English version (by my Aussie friend Anthony Longano) of "Storie di sport al femminile".
