In the ancient Athens, they were not even allowed to watch the competitions; but in the near Sparta, the first woman wrote her own name on the Olympics records was Cinisca, King Arcidamo's daughter. She won twice the chariot race in 396 B.C. e nel 392 B.C. Time has passed since Cinisca and the number of women taking part to the Olympics has increased edition after edition.
