Half a week after Joe Biden swore the oath of office, it feels like we’ve simply gotten back to normal (as normal as you can be during a pandemic). But much as I’ve longed for this (and, according to the vote count, so has a little more than half the country), I fear what will happen if we don’t stop to reflect more thoughtfully on the view into our national soul President Trump revealed to us.
