Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD is a chronic condition affecting the gastrointestinal tract. At present, the cause of IBD is unknown however there are associative factors such as stress, genetics, environment, and dysbiosis of microorganisms. For each patient diagnosed with IBD, nobody really knows for sure what’s directly causing it so the aim in its management is to maintain the patient in a state of remission so that they can live comfortably, and the goal is directed towards improving the quality of life.
