This week we talk about gratitude and the benefits of being grateful for what you already have.
There are so many benefits that come from practicing gratitude, it can make yo feel more positive and more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems! When you get stuck in a negative spiral gratitude can really help you reflect on what you have and help lift your spirits. We refer to Rhonda Byrne, Marissa Peer and Jay Shetty in this episode. Marissa Peer says gratitude is a gift and if someone shows you gratitude and you refuse it, for example not taking the compliment it's like giving back a gift.
We discuss the different ways you can incorporate gratitude in to your life and finding the best way for you to make gratitude a part of your daily routine. Some recommend thinking about what you're grateful for in the shower when you have 5 minutes to your self, Lucy likes to practice hers in the car on the way back from taking the kids to school and Cheryl writes hers down in her journal.
