This episode is dedicated to my thoughts about focus and attention.   

It’s clear that the attention spans of the general public have diminished over the years. In this episode we talk about how and why you need focus in daily life, why it has degraded, some tools, techniques, books, and podcasts related to focus and attention, and why the world seems a little more superficial with lowered attention spans.   It is an explicit fact that our phones are daily drivers of our degrading focus and attention. Well, the answer to that is quite simple: the constant influx of noise, the notifications, the calls, the texts, the pings, the endless stream of information and stimuli, makes it very difficult to not pay attention. However, and this is the most sinister part: every time you shift your attention away from what you were doing, you degrade it.   

I think attention span and focus is the number one thing we should all strive to enhance and maintain. The simple fact of the matter is that our lives are dominated by hyper-stimuli that distract us and make it difficult, and even boring, to stay with a singular mind on a task. I urge you to use the tools and techniques described in this podcast, and even share them with a friend and start practicing together.
