Victoria is the founder and lead teacher of Chakra Flow University, a Yoga and Ayurveda school offering 200hr yoga teacher certification. She has 1,000hrs of Yoga and Ayurveda trainings and has a certification in Personal Training by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Victoria also teaches internationally, offering retreats to Costa Rica and other parts of the world as well as traveling within the U.S. to guest teach at festivals and other YTT programs. In this episode, Victoria teaches us Ayurveda 101, which is the sister science to Yoga, dating back more than 5,000 years. She clearly explains the three doshas so that you can consider your own personal constitution, the 6 tastes that are used to balance meals, and how the doshas fit into the seasons of the year and the stages of our lives so that we can live in our most balanced state. We also talk about diet culture, and the ways in which Ayurveda encourages us to live in a way that is more in sync with nature and is more compassionate toward ourselves, and others. Victoria also bravely shares her own experience with food and exercise, which is one I am positive you will find very relatable.
