Description

June 2019 introduces a new theme geared to take advantage of all those streaming subscriptions that so many people pay for, but maybe don't utilize quite enough. Simply put, Corey  (@coreyrstarr) and Jonathan  (@berkreviews) picked the movies for this month from one of the streaming services (although it seems we just used Amazon Prime) to watch movies that at least one of them had never seen before. There are tons of movies to choose from, but the four listed below are what they landed on.

As far as the podcast goes, each episode features an in-depth review of the movie for the week. They begin with a spoiler-free review before diving in completely after the needed spoiler warning. However, before getting into the review of the week, Jonathan and Corey discuss what other movies they've seen since the last episode as well as anything else they feel like discussing. To help them decide which of the many films to watch each month they started creating themes for them all.

This Episode - 12 Angry Men

Jonathan decided to use his last pick for the streaming services to watch a classic that he has been meaning to watch; 12 Angry Men (1957). Directed by the great Sidney Lumet and starring Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Martin, and Balsam this film is a part of the AFI top 100, a list Jonathan has been slowly working to complete the viewing of. The IMDb.com summary states "A jury holdout attempts to prevent a miscarriage of justice by forcing his colleagues to reconsider the evidence." You can watch this...on Amazon Prime...yeah, maybe this should have been called Primed and ready instead of a River Runs Through Us...oh well!
