It's the most wonderful time of the year for two people who buy too many movies and are currently on quarantine...Mint in Box. Jonathan (@Berkreviews) and Corey (@coreyrstarr) have selected movies to watch this month that one of them own and have never seen...thus the DVD/Bluray...or digital file is still in the box left in mint condition. May seemed like the right time to do this even before the world was ravaged by a virus.
As far as the podcast goes, each episode features an in-depth review of the movie for the week. They begin with a spoiler-free review before diving in completely after the needed spoiler warning. However, before getting into the review of the week, Jonathan and Corey discuss what other movies they've seen since the last episode as well as anything else they feel like discussing. To help them decide which of the many films to watch each month they started creating themes for them all.
Week 4 - Midnight Cowboy (1969)
Both Jonathan and Corey bought Midnight Cowboy (1969) on Criterion Blu-ray after it was highly recommended to them during an interview way back when. Jonathan actually watched his, but Corey has not and thus it finds its way into this list. Directed by John Schlesinger and starring Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight, and Sylvia Miles the film is about "A naive hustler travels from Texas to New York City to seek personal fortune, finding a new friend in the process."
