Description

It's the most wonderful time of the year for two people who buy too many movies and are currently on quarantine...Mint in Box.  Jonathan (@Berkreviews) and Corey (@coreyrstarr) have selected movies to watch this month that one of them own and have never seen...thus the DVD/Bluray...or digital file is still in the box left in mint condition. May seemed like the right time to do this even before the world was ravaged by a virus.

As far as the podcast goes, each episode features an in-depth review of the movie for the week. They begin with a spoiler-free review before diving in completely after the needed spoiler warning. However, before getting into the review of the week, Jonathan and Corey discuss what other movies they've seen since the last episode as well as anything else they feel like discussing. To help them decide which of the many films to watch each month they started creating themes for them all.

Week 3 - The Host (2006)

Jonathan bought The Host (2006) a few years back not realizing who directed. Now, after Bong Joon Ho's Oscar win and Jonathan loving both Snowpiercer (2013) and Parasite (2019), it makes sense to watch this film that stars Kang-ho Song, Hee-Bong Byun, and Hae-il Park. In this film, "A monster emerges from Seoul's Han River and begins attacking people. One victim's loving family does what it can to rescue her from its clutches."
