A continuation of our Candid Conversation about managing a boarding barn, this is the second of seven episodes from this conversation, which is available in it entirety on our YouTube channel now!

This is the first time we have gathered together to start the conversation on this topic, but won’t be the last. This group of women own and/or manage boarding facilities in the Charlotte NC area (just for context, as we have viewers all over the world and some of this may not apply or be comparable).

Some of the questions touched on in this episode are: How do you pay your help? Is it cash or are they employees? Do you offer a boarding spot-on and/or onsite housing for them as part of the compensation? Do you pay by the hour or by the job? How do you find good help? Do you do a working interview or just show them the job?
