Bill, Jim, Joe and Tim bat around this movie about Tom Welles (Nicholas Cage), private eye, who is hired by a wealthy widow, whose husband passed away. She finds a reel of S8-film in his safe that contains the cruel slaughtering of a young girl. Welles takes up the investigation to find out if the snuff film is real or not, and the fate of the girl. As his work turns into more of an obsession, he drifts farther away from his wife and family.
The film also stars Joaquin Phoenix, James Gandolfini, Catherine Keener and Peter Stormare.
