Description

For this week's episode, I discuss internalized homophobia: what it is, how it manifests, and how it affects LGBTQIA+ people. Internalized homophobia isn't always visible in the LGBTQIA+ community, so I wanted to make it visible in this episode. I share a recent experience that made me want to talk about this topic, and how I've combated internalized homophobia in myself over the years. In addition, I discuss the importance of calling people into the community and creating a safe space for people with internalized homophobia. Overall, the moral of this episode is to love yourself and accept all aspects of what makes you *you*—even if society doesn't accept you.
