Blaine Boyer pitched for 12 years in the major leagues, predominantly as a relief pitcher who was used in high leverage situations. Naturally, he and "Get in the Game" host Scott Linebrink share a bond and an affinity for relief pitching. Their friendship stretches beyond baseball, though, and into the world of service. Boyer and Linebrink have served together on international mission trips and worked together in various missions-based projects, like Water Mission.
In November 2015, along with former major leaguer Adam LaRoche, Boyer spent 10 days with the non-profit The Exodus Project in Southeast Asian brothels doing undercover work to help rescue underage sex slaves.
In this episode, Boyer shares his experience serving internationally and talks about what it looks like to serve out of a genuine heart and not with a "savior mentality."
