Scripture: 1 Samuel 17
Most of us think the focus of this story is being courageous like David and standing up to the "enemies" in our life (bullies, bosses, financial stress, etc.) that are bigger than us. The truth is, however, no matter how courageous we are, we will never be able to overcome our enemies in our own strength. The real focus of this story is God's honor, and his faithfulness to deliver us from our enemies.
