This is happening as we are becoming a nation of snitches, locals in Elwood reported to police a local coffee shop Mr Tuppy because they believed the customers weren't practising social distancing.
The fallout from the High Court of Australia exonerating Catholic Cardinal George Pell's historical child sex conviction in Victoria in 2018 has continued. It is now coming to light how Victoria Police advertised for complaints against Pell and tried to make 26 charges stick. St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne was vandalised after the High Court verdict where the abuse was supposed to have taken place. We shall await if Victoria Police catch the vandals.
Politicians who've been telling us to stay at home and practice increased hygiene practices have of course been caught out being hypocrites. NSW Arts Minister Don Harwin was sprung visiting his holiday home on the Central Coast multiple times during the pandemic. Queensland LNP leader Deb Frecklington was also criticised for filming a buy local video in a supermarket where she touched and put back 22 items.
Social media use has increased during the pandemic and stay at home orders. The program we are using to stream the Uncuckables Zoom has confessed it routed some video calls through China. The telegram encrypted messaging app which many dissent personalities and media outlets having migrated to has introduced verified channels to crackdown on "fake news".
