Karens have been taking over the world this year, thriving in our locked down nanny states in the name of public health and safety. Have we reached peak Karen? That and more on this week's Uncuckables panel with Tim Wilms Editor in Chief of The Unshackled, David Hiscox Editor of the XYZ and self-confessed climate denier Stephen Wells.
The Karen meme has exploded online in recent months, especially during the coronavirus lockdown. Dictionary.com defines Karen as a mocking slang term for an entitled, obnoxious, middle-aged white woman. Karen is generally stereotyped as having a blonde bob haircut, asking to speak to retail and restaurant managers to voice complaints or make demands, and being a nagging, often divorced mother from Generation X.
Social media censorship has increased during the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown. Book giant Amazon has refused to print and sell Stephen's latest book The Great Coronavirus Swindle for going against the alleged "consensus" and health advice on the virus.
Donald Trump has threatened regulation against the tech giants after Twitter decided to fact check his tweets against mail-in ballots using CNN and the Washington Post as sources. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg amazingly said that social media companies should not be the arbiters of truth. Tell that to the people he's banned and censored.
Race relations have deteriorated in the United States this past week starting with Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden stating if you don't vote for him you ain't black. Then a Democrat voting Karen called Amy Cooper in New York's Central Park was filmed claiming an African American man was threatening her life when all he told her to do was put her dog on a leash.
The city of Minneapolis in the Great Lakes state of Minnesota is experiencing rioting and looting in response to the death of black man George Floyd in a caught on camera incident of police brutality. Both the city and the state are run by Democrats.
There were more mainstream media cutbacks this week with News Corp Australia announcing it would be closing the printing of 100 regional newspapers with 75% of those moving online with the rest closing altogether. Job losses will occur but an exact number was not provided.
Victoria was not only the snitch state during the lockdown but was the clear leader when it came to issuing fines for lockdown breaches. 6000 fines of $1652 were issues amounting to $8 million in revenue to the Dan Andrews Government.
The show ends with Stephen an English ex-pat now residing in Western Australia that it become a refuge for white Europeans escaping multicultural dystopias in his native homeland and over in the Eastern states.
