Sam Griffin, the self-professed Strongest Man in Ballarat, is perhaps better known to most Ballarat people for his delicious burgers and tacos! Sam is a Ballarat boy who, though he left town at a young age to experience life at the circus, quickly settled back down in Ballarat and opened a dance studio with his now wife, Tess. With some business savvy under his belt he pulled the whole Griffin family team together to create one of Ballarat’s most recognisable burger chains, Griffin Burger. Once a tiny shop front on Sturt Street, Griffin burger has grown to bigger and better things with two stores now in the Ballarat region. Always keen for a challenge, Sam took on the ultimate when he opened Ballarat’s first taco restaurant, Dr Fill, just one week before the pandemic shut down Victoria! Now that the state is open again, Sam can often be found behind the bar at Dr Fill, creating fantastic cocktails to pair with your taco! Sam is a young, family man, who is proving that hard work, determination and a good sense of humour can go a long way in life and he’ll happily fight anyone who chooses to disagree!
