In Luke 18 & 19, we see Jesus encounter two rich men, showing the contrast of the Law versus Grace. In Luke 18, the rich young ruler comes to Jesus under the Law asking what he can do to be saved. He leaves sad as he realizes he cannot fulfill what was asked of him. In Luke 19, Zacchaeus sees and receives Jesus and thus encounters grace Himself. Zacchaeus' encounter with grace empowered him to exceed the expectations of the Law. The Law demands, but grace supplies. See Christ, receive Him, and be abundantly supplied with power to walk in the newness of life.
