Description

Ben Lucas is the founder of the mental health awareness project 2minutemates. He (using self-deprecating humor) describes himself as “Australia’s most generic bloke”. He is anything but! Ben has an incredible wealth of knowledge around Mental Health philosophies through both his own lived experience and research.
In this episode, Ben reveals how his passion to support and lift his best mates through hardship, evolved into the success 2minutesmates is today. He outlays the personal lessons of self-growth he has achieved along the way, his philosophy on embracing mental health as a journey with your mates and the power of conversations.
Ben also delves into how everything is relative to your experience and how adversity breeds opportunity,
He shows honesty around the hardship of his Dad passing away and finding gratitude from the situation, and how an ice cream store slogan shapes how he ‘looks after his lid’.
