According to a report by the National Assessment of Educational Progress, Black boys have the lowest reading scores of any racial or gender group. Black boys should be given every opportunity possible to develop literacy based skills and immerse themselves in the joys of reading. Therefore it's important to close the Black boy literacy gap. We're chatting with Oliver James, a Black man who did not learn to read until 34 years old.
