We see Abraham and Sarah trying to bring about the promises of God by their own works and the consequences are tragic! We see Abraham's response to the covenant in him circumcising his whole household and we see the Lord on earth raining down judgment from the Lord in heaven on Sodom and Gomorrah due to their wickedness!
