Episode 119
Allison Dagney, author of When Tears Leave Scars, joins me to discuss what happened when you fall in love, get married, and then lose yourself in the web of control. She talks about learning to believe she was incapable of making good decisions, of managing finances, of taking care of her home, herself, or her family. Every decision that she made was not the right choice and she began to doubt herself.
She became utterly and completely dependent on the man she married and no longer had the ability to make decisions or anything on her own. He had become the authority of her life.
Emotional, financial, and mental abuse is real and devastating. When Allsion realized she had to get out and get safe it became a process, a plan, and one needing support.
Listen as we discuss living with a narcissist and fearing for your sanity.
