Episode 112
Scott Schwarz shares his story of trying to make a loveless marriage work, focusing on having the trappings of success, and navigating the emotional chasm of depression.
He went from a job with the “corner office” to literally walking dogs and scooping up poop. He realized that his physically demeanor walking the dogs mirrored how he felt about himself, head and eyes down.
And he began to cope by drinking. He blamed his marriage and he lost everything.
Scott finally got a good job, but brought his drinking into the office, where he then got fired.
Now deep in debt, divorced, and no potential way-out, Scott planned his suicide.
On 11/3/2015 he wrote his suicide note blaming his Ex, detailing the notifications and contacts that needed to be made, and held his ex accountable for being in this position.
Scott felt empty, alone, no job, deep in debt.
He shares his messages he received that prevented this act and how he moved from blame to accountability, to sobriety, to forgiveness, and to wholeness maybe for the first time in a long time.
Scott now believes he is officially indestructible! Working his way up from rock bottom has positioned him to help others do the same.
