“Genius begins great work, Labour alone finishes them”
Greetings to all, on this “World Labour Day” and “Maharashtra Day”, which is celebrated on 1st May every year. “World Labour Day” is celebrated across the world as a mark of respect to the labour force. It is celebrated to commemorate the historic struggle and gains made by workers through the labour movement. It’s a Public holiday in many countries worldwide.
“Maharashtra Day” is celebrated in Maharashtra not only for the formation of an independent state in 1960 but also to pay tribute to 106 martyrs who sacrificed their life for it. This day is associated with parades, political speeches, ceremonies in addition to various other public and private events.
