Reneshaw Greaves grew up in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She migrated to the United States in 1997 to further her education. Her love for science led her to pursue a profession as a Registered Vascular Technologist. Writing a children's book was always her dream, and the main inspiration for her debut book, Sylvester Slug Finds a New Home, comes from her son, who is on the autism spectrum. Watching her son navigate the world around him and struggle with his differences manifested the idea for this book. When she is not busy writing and creating, she enjoys shopping (retail therapy), traveling, and decorating. Reneshaw currently lives in Maryland with her teenage son and extended family.
