Joel McCarty • Even though Amos has been honest about rampant injustice among the people of God, he still pleads to God for mercy on their behalf. In compassion, God relents for a season, but judgment is still coming, because human mediators can't change hearts and fix the brokenness. We need a better mediator and a better prophet who not only pleads on our behalf, but also gives His life to purchase our freedom.
