There are around 6.5 million family/friend carers within the uk and imagine how many more within the world. These are the unsung hero of a care system them is sometimes forgot or not seen. So this week we want to raise the visibility and the value of unpaid carers within society and say thank you. Today's podcast is just an overview of what maybe it we need to think about, understand, try harder with and improve to make the the lives of out unpaid carers that bit easier. To realise that we need to look after out family carers and to ensure they have support, resources and systems available to them when they need it. Without family carers our social care systems will topple and in many countries there is no social care system so there is no choice so there is so much more need for support and guidance. Sometimes we just need to let people know they are doing a great job and that they are doing their best. That we can see them and we know they are there. So for all you family/friend carers out there know we appreciate you, we salute you, we thank you and we know it's not easy to take a break.
