BIO: Lynetta Welch has been performing and creating magic for over 35 years and during

that time she has built a reputation within the magic and theatrical communities as one

of the most creative, innovative and respected minds in the art. Her creative solutions

have been sought out by many of the greatest names in magic. From Penn & Teller, to

Mat Franco, and even David Copperfield, magicians from around the world have

solicited Lynetta's help in finding solutions to their magic roadblocks. She has created

effects for countless Las Vegas stage productions, film and stage productions,

universities, and numerous television shows. Her creations are often seen, but even

more often they are the invisible secrets that make the magic work.

Along with being known by top professionals as the go to source for all things related to

fabric and magic, Lynetta has recently also become recognized for her lecture on The

History of Fabric in Magic. In her lecture, Lynetta takes the audience on a journey from

the late 1500's to present day, highlighting creations in magic that have utilized fabric.

She touches on everything from the first Devil's Hank, the Evolution of the Egg Bag, the

Use of Fabric In Illusions, the Introduction of Black Art, Quick-Change, and the Many

Hats of Chapeaugraphy. Her lecture has been featured at clubs around the United

States, as well as at several conventions, including Abbotts Magic Get Together,

Abracorndabra, and the world’s largest magic convention, Blackpool.
