As a freelancer for over 20 years, Sallyanne Flemons has directed her passion for culture and nature by helping numerous organisations engage thousands of people with culture and sustainability. She has managed the Family Explorers North East project since 2013 which now has 11,000+ participating families. She’s also Ambassador for the North East Family Arts Network and Communications Director for participatory art project Wunderbar (Bobby Baker’s Great & Tiny War, #MLK1967 with Jeremy Deller, Joshua Sofaer’s Opera Helps). She wrote the first communications strategy for Creative People and Places project, Bait, won three awards for Annual Reviews edited for the Woodland Trust and in 2000 co-wrote The Green Print Handbook, recommended reading at the time by Friends of the Earth.
