What if someone put a microphone in front of your face after a workout and you had to talk about how your workout went? Would you punch them in the face or hug them? What got you through the workout? Did you consider it a good or bad run? What mental games did you play to get through it? Did you even need mental games? How did your body feel? Did something in your personal life give your run this positive or negative feeling?
Well, today (well a few days last week to be more specific) I did that. It started as an experiment to see what my thoughts were post-run, but there ended up being stronger takeaways than I knew were possible. So much so, that I decided to share on this podcast.
Some of my thoughts stemmed from a continual running high. Others came from frustration but deep-rooted in experience. I hope you enjoy/possibly find some of these thoughts helpful in your day-to-day workout routine!
