Being in align with her purpose through upcycling, Amita Deshpande is making difference in social entrepreneurship. Being aware of current environment challenges had helped her to support various community and create solution driven model towards waste management.
She is a founder and CEO of Re-charkha which is an ecological tribe which has created LIVELIHOOD opportunities for tribal Women and Youth, as they manually weave fabric from Waste Plastic using a traditional CHARKHA (Spindle) and HANDLOOM.
Re-charka even offers platform to volunteer , Internship and collaborate within your community for more better waste driven drive. This podcast shares more information about re-Charkha does for community and how we can still achieve our goals in spite of our background.
