About
Pat Sangimino is a retired award-winning journalist who spent four decades in newsrooms in California and throughout the Midwest. He covered the National Football League as a beat reporter in addition to covering other major sporting events as a columnist. His first novel, "Dogs Chase Cars," details the downturn in the newspaper industry through the eyes of a Kansas City sports columnist who is driving to work on a November Friday expecting to be the latest casualty in a mass layoff. The story takes place over a single day but flashes back to the seminal stories and -- more important -- the relationships that he both fostered and failed to maintain.
