Comparing ourselves will oft times drive us to distraction. In word shared by one of my mentors; comparisons will have us either thinking we are superhuman: in that we are better than or subhuman: in that we are not good enough. In Jesus’ teaching and walking in the spirit, we are simply human. I’m n our weaknesses, coming to him in repentance and confessing, we are made strong. Luke 7:34 is the starting of how comparative thought shows to be infective. Jesus rebuking and showing that we do not fall into judgementalism or pharasitical practices. Compassion, kindness and God’s love in us is the truth and the way.
