We must remember that though God has given us a gift in forethought, we cannot allow ourselves to get caught up in the preplanning of tomorrows. There are two places that are told us in the scriptures that are not ours and we don’t belong there; the past nor the future. The past is where satan wants us to go and be bound up sin regret and remorse which then, like the canker will grow into resentment. Toward others and sadly at times toward God. Completely forgetting that we have a free choice. The other place that we do not, sadly though daring to tread into the future and with the gift that God gave us, we attempt to control that which is not ours. We are told din numerous scripture that tomorrow is not ours. Jesus teaches us that fretting about what tomorrow may bring doesn’t increase our days by one iota. Yet, we still attempt although feebly, to control our destiny as many like to put it. The self help gurus like to convince, contrary to biblical teaching and by the precepts and tenets of Yahweh, Hashem, that we can control our destiny. Nope. Psalm 139, Psalm 62:5, I Thesssalonians 5 we are reminded by Paul to pray continually. Psalm 46:10, Matthew 23:13, I John 3:2.
