Acts 3: 11-26
Psalm 8: 2, 5-9
Luke 24: 35-48
Hello friends in Jesus, You are on the show 2 Minutes with the Lord
How great is your name, O Lord our God through all the earth.
The resurrection event rewrites history. The disciples on the road to Emmaus go back to bear witness to Risen Jesus and behold Jesus make his presence known among the apostles. The greetings of Jesus resound in our ears. In the midst of such chaos, He says, Peace be with you. The disciples still have a doubt whether the presence of Jesus is real? or is it a ghost?
Jesus deliberately has to show his hands and feet. He also asks them something to eat. Jesus invites his apostles to touch him and feel his wounds.
The confirmation of Jesus being risen had to be appealing to the apostles. The Risen Lord wanted his apostles to understand the resurrection event. It is through their faith and bearing witness to Him that humanity could understand the Risen Lord. Jesus revisits history in order to rewrite it with his beloved apostles.
Christians over many generations have kept alive the spirit of resurrection. In spite of difficulties, trials and problems they have carried the good news of Risen Lord.
As disciples of Jesus, we proclaim the good news like his apostles. We have to become witnesses to his name. Jesus comes to us when we are in deep trouble and he says “Peace be with you.”
Lord may be become peace makers to witness your name Amen
