Give thanks to the Lord for He is good for His love has no end
Following the instructions of Jesus, the apostles go to Galilee where the story of discipleship began. It was here that Jesus asked them to follow Him. They have reached back to start anew. Simon Peter with others decides to go on a fishing spree whole night but catches nothing. Jesus appears again to give them in abundance.
After a good catch, Jesus offers an invitation to the apostles to join in for a breakfast along the seashore. Now what do we have for breakfast?
Grilled fish prepared by Jesus with some bread. Jesus has been appearing to the disciples at regular intervals after the resurrection.
The apostles had abandoned Jesus at his passion but Jesus shows his eternal friendship towards them. Starting a new chapter in life would require revisiting the past and planning a vision for future. This Galilee gathering post resurrection means a recovery time to rethink of a mission plan. Any setback, loss, pain and suffering needs a healing moment. Jesus exactly knew and made sure his friends receive it.
As Christians let us all together reflect on these hard moments, we are in. This pandemic can be a recovery time to envision a plan for life. The blessings of Risen Jesus fill our life to rebuild our faith, hope, family, work, and relationships so that we can receive healing.
