Psalm 32: 4-5, 18-19, 20-22
John 20:11-18
Hello friends in Jesus, Welcome to the show 2 Minutes with the Lord
Easter joy is so promising that it takes away all our grief and sorrow. Mary Magdalene went in search of Jesus body at the tomb so that she could spend some time with him. She had a hope that she could get a glimpse of him. Tears rolled down through her eyes as she struggled to cope up with the fact that the Jesus body was taken away.
Mary began a search in and around the tomb. She could hardly recognize Jesus until he called her by name. At once her tears stopped. She felt a great joy within herself by the presence of Jesus around her.
Mary became the witness to the Risen Lord. She could feel the nearness of Jesus in her life. Her grief and sorrow transformed into joy with the visible proximity of the Saviour. Now she sets forth to proclaim the Good News.
As Christians, we experience the powerful presence of Risen Christ in our lives. The joy of Easter should transform us. Each one of us share a unique relationship with Jesus like that as of Mary Magdalene. We need to search for Him, and when we find Him, we need to bear witness. He surely calls us by name.
Lord Jesus we thank you for your powerful presence among us. Amen.
