Description

Latin Grammy winning husband and wife team 123 Andres has been making multicultural, family friendly music for over a decade, taking in some collaborations and Latin Grammy nods along the way. They made a book based on their song Hola, Amigo (published by Scholastic) and released an album based on the song. Also since they have a Latin American heritage and they have been shaken by the recent events such as the shooting of George Floyd and the lack of diversity in the Grammy Awards earlier this year, they along with other artists of color to form an alliance called Family Music Forward, aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity in the children's music space. Together with FMF, they have successfully held the first Kukuza Fest last September and its sequel this past April.

Their latest album, Activate, is filled to the brim with Latin-inspired pop anthems that are sure to get the entire family moving and shaking with collaborations that feature Puerto Rican salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa and top kindie figures such as Andrew & Polly, Rissi Palmer, Red Yarn, Jazzy Ash, Aaron Nigel Smith, and Lucy Kalantari.

Also this summer, Andres and Christina went on a cross-country family trip, meeting up with some good kids music friends such as Karen K and Little Miss Ann plus making some unexpected detours along the way.

All these will be discussed in my AWESOME interview with 123 Andres, and they even let me in on a super secret project! (You'll have to listen to find out what that is......)
